Nashville Strip Clubs: With Jeff Fisher by his side, Vince Young set for next step

25 08 2010

Fisher helped Young realize he didn’t have to do it all himself the way he did in leading Texas to a Bowl Championship Series national title win against Southern California in January 2006.
How far the Titans go depends on Young easing pressure on running back Chris Johnson (2,006 yards last year) as a more accurate passer. Young has thrown seven more career interceptions (39) than touchdowns.
“It’s our time right now,” Young says. “We love being underdogs.
“That’s why we’re coming to win and take your legs from underneath you.”
“We want to be playing in the Super Bowl,” says fullback Ahmard Hall, who played with Young at Texas. “And VY’s the guy to take us there.”
Owning up to mistakes
Young worked harder this offseason, only to raise anew questions about his newfound maturity with an altercation at a Dallas strip club.

Nashville Adult Entertainment: Tennessee joins 16 states demanding removal of Craigslist’s adult services

24 08 2010

Nashville, TN: Attorney General Bob Cooper today joined 16 other state attorneys general asking craigslist to immediately take down the Adult Services portion of the site due to continued allegations of rampant prostitution advertisements and growing public frustration.

“Your much?touted ‘manual review’ of Adult Services ads has failed to yield any discernable reduction in obvious solicitations,” the letter says. “We recognize that craigslist may lose considerable revenue generated by the Adult Services ads,” the attorneys general said. “No amount of money can justify the scourge of illegal prostitution, and the suffering of the woman and children who will continue to be victimized, in the market and trafficking provided by craigslist.”
Even following its 2008 public pledge that it would better police its own site, the attorneys general allege that craigslist remains a hot spot for blatant prostitution ads. In July 2010, two girls who said that they were trafficked for sex through craigslist wrote an “open letter” to craigslist officials, pleading for the elimination of the Adult Services section. The girls’ poignant account told a horrific story of brutalization and assault suffered not just by them, but also by untold numbers of other children, the attorneys general said.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A former Tennessee Highway Patrol officer is accused of doing drugs and spending time with a prostitute.
The TBI arrested Cesar Maldonado for crimes that allegedly took place in his squad car this past May after the historic flooding.
“They are in the community to act as role models.  That’s something they have to remember when working,” said Kristen Helm with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Prosecutors said he then had sex with a prostitute in his squad car while assigned to work flood patrol in Sumner County.

This is the second time the TBI has arrested Maldonado for drugs and official misconduct.  In July, agents arrested him at a hotel in Robertson County.  They say they found him in a room with a prostitute along with illegal prescription drugs.Tennessee Trooper Arrested On Drug Charge

Young Mom Says State Worker Raped Her
NASHVILLE (CN) – A young mother claims she miscarried her second child after she was raped by a state employee as she sought health insurance in his hospital office. She claims the Tennessee Department of Human Services worker, Darius Willis, moonlights as a male stripper under the name “Chocolate Thunder,” and that “other male DHS employees have secondary careers as male strippers and strip together.” Willis has been criminally charged with rape, the young mom says in her federal complaint.
The plaintiff, J.N., sued Willis and the Tennessee DHS, which she says was negligent in its hiring and supervision of Willis, and in putting him in a position of power over women in crisis.
J.N. says she receives state benefits for her daughter, including health insurance through the state-run TennCare.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Going into 5th NFL season, challenge for Young is proving he’s franchise QB

17 08 2010

Young played well paired with Johnson, throwing for 1,879 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions for an 82.8 passer rating. He also ran 55 times for 281 yards with two TDs and led six game-winning drives with the Titans either tied or trailing in the fourth quarter.
His best? Easily the 99-yard drive to beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 with a TD pass to Kenny Britt as time expired. Fisher called it the drive of the year.
Young said his teammates will ease the pressure on Johnson and himself.
But the biggest off-season move that may have made the biggest impression came in late July when he met NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York to discuss his misdemeanour charge for a scuffle at a Dallas strip club in June. Young had immediately apologized for the incident, promising to learn from his mistake.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Tennessee Titans 2010 Season Preview

16 08 2010

… Yeah, I did not anticipate [the 0-6 start],” said Fisher. “I thought camp [last year] was good. We overcame some things. We had some holes. The return issues were my responsibility. I didn’t address that adequately enough, but we will do that this year. But I didn’t anticipate that.”
Fisher believes he addressed the return issues with the drafting of Williams, while the first-round selection of defensive end Derrick Morgan and third- round grab of linebacker Rennie Curran will add an infusion of talented youth to the defense. Fellow new faces on the defensive side of the ball are defensive end Jason Babin, linebacker Will Witherspoon and cornerback Tye Hill.
The Titans also come into 2010 with several off-the-field issues hopefully behind them. One of the biggest was Young’s role in a fight at a Dallas strip club on June 13, but the quarterback was not disciplined by the NFL.

TARA ADCOCK: My pimp—I was just like his everything. He fed me with crack, bought me new clothes. I didn’t know nothing about none of this, and then just one night he said come on I’m taking you and another girl, and she’s going to show you the ropes. So he dropped me off right here. I’ve been dragged up and down this road. I was raped. I hated myself.
