Nashville Strip Clubs: Offbeat moments color 2009 with humor

It wasn’t your routine home burglary last May in Anderson County.
Deputies said 42-year-old Larry Stephen Moore II of Maryville was wearing only a thong when apprehended.
State Sen. Charlotte Burks, D-Monterey, recalled the charm and persuasive skills of former House Majority Leader Tommy Burnett when he died in September.
“He could talk a bird out of a tree,” she said.
In April, Jay Leno of “The Tonight Show” took note of how the recession was affecting Nashville music.

The state Legislature considered a measure last spring to make it a misdemeanor to wear saggy pants.
It was dubbed “the anti-crack bill.”
An inmate who escaped in March from a work-release job in Limestone County, Ala., was found at the Boobie Bungalow strip club in Ardmore, Tenn.
