Nashville Escorts: Metro Officer Indicted On Rape And Misconduct Charges
6 08 2010NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A decommissioned Metro police officer has been charged with several sex crimes involving four women while on duty.
Officer Jeffrey Poole surrendered himself at police headquarters Friday afternoon after a 12-count grand jury indictment. He was charged with four counts of rape, four counts of official misconduct, two counts of sexual battery, one count of patronizing prostitution, and one count of attempting to patronize prostitution.
The investigation began at the end of April when a 27-year-old known prostitute reported that Poole, in uniform and on-duty as South Precinct patrolman, stopped her as she walked the streets south of downtown. She told officers that Poole patted her down to the point of fondling her and that he appeared to make verbal propositions, but she said she rejected his advances.
