Nashville Adult Entertainment: Decommissioned Metro Officer Charged With Child Abuse

11 11 2011

The investigation began at the end of April when a 27-year-old known prostitute reported that Poole, in uniform and on-duty as a South Precinct patrolman, stopped her as she walked the streets south of downtown. She told officers that Poole patted her down to the point of fondling her and that he appeared to make verbal propositions, but she said she rejected his advances.
Her testimony did not support the charge when she took the stand during the trial.
“The indictment claimed there was some kind of sexual battery, when in fact, she was never touched sexually,” Scruggs explained.
Poole still faces several other charges, including sexual battery, four counts of rape, three more counts of official misconduct, a count of patronizing a prostitute and a count of attempting to patronize a prostitute in a police zone in connection with three other women police identified as victims.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Trackday Diaries: Nights of wine and ponies.

11 11 2011

Cometh the evening, cometh the party. My two-and-a-half-year-old son arrived, dapper in a blue blazer and a toddler-sized Pat Metheny T-shirt. He sang “hap birfday daddy” into a Shure SM58 and strummed my Doves In Flight a bit. Fifty-something guests trickled in. Chef Carl prepared forty-five steaks while the Green and Red Lions fussed over the side dishes. I’d lined up some kick-ass musicians for the night — a Guitar Center contest winner, a fellow who’d played bass for Johnny Cash, my brother, some local heroes — and we played everything from “Equinox” to “Baker Street” while some friend’s of Vodka’s set up a temporary stripper pole in the other room. “I wore panties, which I don’t normally do,” another friend said, “because I hate girls who rub the pole naked.”

Nashville Strip Clubs: NASHVILLE SKYLINE: CMA Awards Do Right With Glen Campbell Tribute

10 11 2011

Taylor Swift’s frankly imperfect but extremely expressive acoustic performance of her song “Ours” impressed me quite a bit. Best song line of the night: Swift’s “people throw rocks at things that shine” from that song.
Whatever happened to country rock? Remember when appearances on the CMA Awards by the likes of the Eagles caused cardiac arrests by country diehards? That was heresy then. Now, a lot of people tell me that they really miss that.
Now, full-blown rap beats are accompanied by what appear to be nearly-nude Vegas strippers and that now seems to be routine. Why not try recruiting some real Daisy Dukes or Hooters employees or Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to be country dancers instead of these gamy-looking strippers? How about getting some wholesome, old-fashioned, decent-dressing, cut-off jeans-wearing, down-home soft-core porn dancers? How are Chevrolet-driving mom and pop and grandpa and grandma reacting to all this at home? Doesn’t matter, the demographers say. The old-timers don’t count in their audience metrics.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn- Last week Clarksville Police wrote 438 citations in 8 hours. And Wednesday night they were at it again in the exact same neighborhood, hoping to send a clear message to a troubled community that crime won’t be tolerated.
”Up here you get everything from drugs prostitution you name it you get it up here,” said Officer Brad Holder about patrolling district two in Clarksville.
On Wednesday he had the help of nearly 30 patrol officers who launched an all out citation assault on Providence Boulevard. They are trying to make their presence known in a community with the highest violent crime rate in the city.
“What we hope to accomplish is hey, the police are out here and we mean business,” said Chief Alonzo Ansley.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Pacman Jones: Loudmouth CB Will Play vs. Tennessee Titans No Matter What

1 11 2011

Jones took a punt return back 63 yards but failed to beat Seattle’s punter, Jon Ryan, who was able to force him out of bounds.
You can’t ask for more during your first time handling a football in an NFL game in approximately a year, but Jones popped up holding his hamstring and soon went to the locker room.
This isn’t going to stop Jones from being on the active roster for the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 9 showdown with Jones’ former team, the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans drafted Jones with the sixth overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft, but off-the-field issues including starting a scuffle that led to a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club numbers among 13 other legal cases in which Jones has a connection in some way.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Sir Cecil Creape: Nashville’s Hometown Ghoul

31 10 2011

… Dr. Gangrene” aka Larry Underwood with his Sir Cecil’s Ghoul Patrol Boy Scout Patch
Underwood’s childhood memories provided the inspiration to create his own “horror host” character, Dr. Gangrene, which he portrays on his own late night TV show on WNAB-TV Channel 58. But that inspiration went beyond just appearances.
“He would do different skits, and have a cornball sense of humor about stuff,” Underwood said. “For Christmas time he did the old ‘live dead body’ gag and gave away a turkey on the air. For Halloween he would try and pick a costume for the night.”
Whether masquerading as Richard Nixon, dancing with a “body” ordered from a Printer’s Alley strip club, or directing a barbershop quartet of severed heads, Sir Cecil Creape’s sense of smart-aleck rebellion, gross goofy fun, and comic timing made every Saturday night seem like Halloween.

He claims he said Motte. The bullpen somehow heard Lynn.
And with that, a strange baseball saga did begin.
“Maybe I slurred it, whatever it is,” La Russa said.
It happens. Bad phone line one day, no idea how to send a text the next. Really, there is only so much a manager can do.
However, La Russa isn’t alone. Who can forget the other great communication foul-ups, like this one in the Red Sox clubhouse late in September:
“You said where’s the cream and the clear? I thought you meant get me some chicken and beer.”
Or this from Miami football players caught up in a scandal with a Ponzi scheme booster:
“No, Coach didn’t tell us to win one for the Gipper. He said after the game we’re all going to get a stripper.”
