NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Her 207th arrest, featured on NewsChannel 5 two
summers ago, was a serious wakeup call for 44-year-old Ronda Heisler, of
Portland, TN.
“I was contemplating suicide,” the new and improved Ronda Heisler
admitted on Sunday.
“The night before my arrest, I remember asking God to put my children
somewhere safe and to lock me up. I knew I didn’t know how to stop doing what I
was doing.”
One day in June of 2010,  she was feeding
a lifelong addiction to drugs and alcohol; making money through prostitution;
and driving drunk with her two young daughters in the backseat. That latter
incident is what got Heisler busted once and for all, and a sentence she knew
would bring sobriety.
“I was happy to have it because I knew that meant 18 months in jail;
but I knew I couldn’t drink,” Heisler shared. “I knew I couldn’t be
out in the public, hurting myself or someone else’s family.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Three men from Columbia, Tenn., have been sentenced to prison for a human trafficking conspiracy.
Roberts, they said, called regular meetings of the group, called the “wolf pack,” and discussed police activity and gave recommendations about avoiding law enforcement.
U.S. District Court Judge Todd J. Campbell of Nashville sentenced 35-year-old Nathaniel Roberts to 70 months; 27-year-old Tavoris Roberts and 31-year-old Shermaine Aiden were both sentenced to 41 months.
One other defendant has been sentenced, and another still faces sentencing.
All five pleaded guilty. Federal prosecutors said they conspired to operate a prostitution business. Roberts, they said, called regular meetings of the group, called the “wolf pack,” and discussed police activity and gave recommendations about avoiding law enforcement.

Clarksville Police Trying To Change Blighted Neighborhood

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn- Last week Clarksville Police wrote 438 citations in 8 hours. And Wednesday night they were at it again in the exact same neighborhood, hoping to send a clear message to a troubled community that crime won’t be tolerated.
 ”Up here you get everything from drugs prostitution you name it you get it up here,” said Officer Brad Holder about patrolling district two in Clarksville.
On Wednesday he had the help of nearly 30 patrol officers who launched an all out citation assault on Providence Boulevard. They are trying to make their presence known in a community with the highest violent crime rate in the city.
“What we hope to accomplish is hey, the police are out here and we mean business,” said Chief Alonzo Ansley.

A jury found Jeffrey Poole not guilty Wednesday after three days of trial.
A judge withdrew a sexual battery charge against Poole on Tuesday citing a lack of evidence.
The investigation began at the end of April when a 27-year-old known prostitute reported that Poole, in uniform and on-duty as South Precinct patrolman, stopped her as she walked the streets south of downtown. She told officers that Poole patted her down to the point of fondling her and that he appeared to make verbal propositions, but she said she rejected his advances.
Poole also faces another charge of sexual battery, four counts of rape, three more counts of official misconduct, a count of patronizing a prostitute and a count of attempting to patronize a prostitute in a police zone in connection with three other women police identified as victims.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The trial for a Metro Nashville Police Officer charged with several sex crimes involving four women while on duty began Monday.
Officer Jeffrey Poole was indicted by a grand jury in August 2010. He was charged with four counts of rape, four counts of official misconduct, two counts of sexual battery, one count of patronizing prostitution, and one count of attempting to patronize prostitution.
