There is a wider issue here which is about the rights and welfare of children who have already experienced the sort of trauma most of us can’t even begin to imagine.
Disasters such as the Haitian earthquake attract those who are prepared to give up their time and often their money to help the victims in any way they can.
But they also attract people who have far less laudable aims.
Already there are stories of people-trafficking with gangs preying on the poor and dispossessed, mainly women and children, with a view to selling them into prostitution or domestic slavery.

It pains me to be nice enough to give her a C because I think Miley Cyrus is a total skank. But she didn’t look too skanky last night. This dress is tasteful with the long sleeves. I’m not really sure who this chick is so I Wikipedia’s her and found out she’s a Pussycat Doll. (Were they nominated for ANYTHING?) Whoever she is she looked good. I like this dress on her, it fits her well. The silver contrasts well with her skin tone. I love the up-do and even her bag and jewelry went well with the whole look. I think she should break free from her current job as a singing stripper and go more main stream.

Stephen Colbert appeared as the shows host and then kind of suddenly disappeared. One of the stage hands stated that Colbert had been arrested by Los Angeles police for trespassing.
It seems that Colbert was not really supposed to have been the host, but he apparently paid Kanye West, who was supposed to have hosted, $2,000 to stay away.
