BOSTON — A man who acts as a mascot for the New England Patriots is among 14 people who have been arrested for prostitution-related crimes in Rhode Island since a new law went into effect that banned indoor prostitution. The bill signed into law in November made prostitution a misdemeanour crime regardless of where it occurs Police say Robert Sormanti of Warwick was among those arrested in an undercover sting at a hotel. When I searched downtown St. Petersburg, little blips covered the map like one of those terrifying sex ed pictures of an STD rash. When you click on the bubbles, pictures and addresses pop up. I don’t know which is more disturbing, mug shots of the standard creepos–sloppy men frowning–or the photos of clean-cut men smiling. Billy Gene Oden Didn’t Report To Metro Police Sex Offender Registry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A violent sex offender didnt report to the sex offender registry last month, and now an arrest warrant has been issued for Billy Gene Oden.
Oden told police he was homeless, and homeless registered sex offenders must report monthly.
Oden was convicted of attempted rape in 1991 and attempted aggravated rape in 1997. The 38-year-old was convicted of invasion of privacy last year for hiding behind a womans house with binoculars.
He has also been convicted for patronizing prostitution, aggravated burglary and theft.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A judge ruled Tuesday that a crucial piece of evidence in the case of accused serial killer Bruce Mendenhall will be allowed during his trial. 
A taped interview with Metro Police Detective Pat Postiglione just hours after his 2007 arrest in Nashville will be allowed in court. 
Mendenhall is accused of killing at least seven prostitutes, two in the mid-state.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The slumping New York Giants placed linebacker Antonio Pierce on injured reserve Monday with a bulging disk in his neck, ending the season for one of their defensive leaders.
Pierce has missed two games since being ruled out indefinitely after an MRI exam Nov. 20 revealed the bulging disk. The Giants (6-5) decided to put Pierce on IR after he received a second opinion from Dr. Robert Watkins, an orthopedic surgeon based in Los Angeles.
