At that moment, Mr. Tracy [Hefferman's son-in-law] shot a pistol at Crabb, and the bullet struck a glancing blow at the nipple and exited the chest. Crabb returned fire. His bullet grazed Mrs. Hefferman’s face and entered her husband’s nose, passing into his skull. The buggy bolted, still carrying the Tracys. By the time Mr. Tracy was able to control it, the killers had escaped. Taken to his home, Hefferman was able to describe both the incident and the killers, although he was bleeding badly and brain matter was coming out his nose. Hefferman died on November 26.
News of the incident stunned the city, and the next day two prostitutes led the town marshal to the injured Crabb, who quickly confessed and implicated the others. Perry had escaped to Murfreesboro, where he was arrested after breaking into a shed.

Nashville Escorts: Suspected serial killer set for trial on solicitation charges | VIDEO

… I proceeded to clean up the mess. She didn’t have any clothes on. It was like here and there on the floor, blood everywhere. Had bags over her head, so I figured they did something to her head. I figured it was with my gun, since they had did it before,” Mendenhall said.
“So the guys approached you at the truck stop?” Postiglione asked.
“They meet me everywhere,” Mendenhall said.
Asked what he did with the body, Mendenhall said, “I dumped her body in there behind the trailers right there in plain view. I laid her out, dropped her down on the ground and left.”
In statements Mendenhall gave before being arrested, he allegedly told police he was involved in as many as seven killings.
During the videotaped interrogation, Postiglione solicited Mendenhall’s memories from the earliest killing to the last known victim. Postiglione pressed Mendenhall on the number seven.
“The only reason seven sticks in my head is because that’s what Richie (Kiem) said,” Mendenhall said.
Postiglione rattled off truck stops where dead prostitutes had been found.

Writer’s Block: 2009 CMA Awards, or A Taylor-made Night for Swift Domination
by Paul Schultz
Published: November 12, 2009
The Country Music Association hosted the 43rd annual CMA Awards show on Veterans Day in Nashville, and there were plenty of well-deserved kudos for our men and women in uniform sprinkled throughout the night. The Trades was an attentive viewer, and we’re here to give you the rundown on country music’s big night.
The program gets off to a somewhat goofy start, with Taylor Swift being interviewed in a pre-recorded segment. It all becomes clear when she comes on stage to open the show with the interview scene being replicated. After a kind of breathless performance of “Forever and Always” she tosses the chair from its pedestal and descends the firemen’s (not just for strippers anymore!) pole to floor level.

Nashville Strip Clubs: Best and Worst: 43rd Annual Country Music Assn. Awards

12 11 2009

By Emily Christianson and Patrick Kevin Day
Her CMA opening performance of Forever & Always may have been an opportunity to show Kanye West whos boss for the 50th time, but instead Taylor Swift seemed intent on doing everything she could to distract from her shockingly thin voice. Thrown furniture! Stripper pole! Wind! Its all almost enough to distract you from how she actually sounded.

Nashville Strip Clubs: CMA Awards 2009: All the performances, as they happen

11 11 2009

Taylor Swift, “Forever & Always.” Nashville is going straight to its A-list star, opening the show with pop music’s most popular living singer at the moment. She’ll have two songs tonight, and first up is “Forever & Always.” To sum it up: The 2009 CMA Awards are off and running with a train wreck. The energy and excitement of Swift’s MTV Video Music Awards performance, in which she was running through a subway, is completely lost. Beginning with a fake interview with Nancy O’Dell was cute, especially when Swift noted that “If guys don’t want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn’t do bad things.” But turning her “Forever & Always” into a chair-throwing angsty performance, complete with a stripper –  or fireman’s pole  (depending on your level of innocence) — was ill-advised. She looked strained in trying to capture the anger of the song, awkwardly rolling on the floor and yanking at her hair. This is a D. But she has another performance in which to redeem herself.

Police Interview Tape Released Of Bruce Mendenhall
Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time we hear from accused serial killer Bruce Mendenhall. It’s an interview Mendenhall’s lawyers do not want jurors to hear.
Police said Mendenhall killed seven prostitutes across the U.S. including one in Nashville and one in Lebanon.
The Illinois truck driver spoke with Metro Police Detective Pat Postiglione just hours after he was arrested in Nashville.
Metro has charged Mendenhall with killing Sara Hulbert. Her body was found at the Travel America truck stop in Downtown Nashville.
He blamed the murders on two men he said were following him from truck stop to truck stop.
Mendenhall talked about several murders and how some of the bodies ended up inside his 18-wheeler. Police said they have lots of physical evidence linking Mendenhall to the murders.

In addition to a lifetime monthly pension of $4,820, Baptist paid Stringfield about $14,600 a month for three years after its board forced him from his position in November 1998. The hospital then paid him a lump sum of $3.5 million, making the severance deal worth roughly $4 million in total.
History happenings:
George Zepp, who writes the excellent “Learn Nashville” column for The Tennessean, will sign copies of his new book Hidden History of Nashville at the Metro Archives in Green Hills this Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The book compiles some of Zepp’s best columns, which often bring to light neglected personalities from Nashville’s past — folks like Cortelia Clark, the blind bluesman who continued to perform on street corners after winning a Grammy award, and Heaven Lee, the ’70s stripper who stole the city’s heart.

Nashville Adult Entertainment: MAKING THE DIFFERENCE- A beneficial concert for human trafficking victims in …

9 11 2009

For a while I’ve thought about using concerts to generate revenue for organizations and individuals who need support to do the hard job they selflessly signed-up for. Over the summer, I was thinking about it a lot; so I took the plunge. The way I see it, I have a general understanding of the horrid realities happening to fellow human-beings and [I know I am]therefore morally responsible to inform others and hopefully inspire them to react. So I guess it is sort of a responsibility to spread the words. Also, I’m pumped to be working with these artists; they are super generous for helping out.
6. What would you say to people who do not understand the gravity of human trafficking?
if a person is alive on this earth, he or she has the right to live a life of peace and opportunity.  The unfortunate reality is that corrupt, evil people and governments willfully reject that right, and force innocent undeserving people into slavery, prostitution, and other violent oppression.  We cannot simply right-off something th …

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Convicted killer Tommy Lee Page was back behind bars Thursday on charges of first-degree murder and especially aggravated burglary.
Police said 35-year-old Page is connected to the March 4 shooting death of Wayne Howard Moore. Moore was shot inside an apartment at the Copperstone Village complex on Litton Avenue.

Five months earlier, police also arrested 45-year-old Stephen Lowery for Moore’s murder. On June 12 Lowery was charged with first-degree murder.

Investigators said Page accompanied Lowery to Moore’s apartment and was present during the shooting.
